Garth practises in the areas of secured financing, commercial real estate and leasing, and construction law. He frequently acts for banks, trust companies and institutional lenders in the negotiation and structuring of secured financings, as well as acting for borrowers obtaining secured loans.
As part of his secured lending practice Garth also advises on mortgage remedies, receivership, insolvency and bankruptcy matters. Garth regularly represents creditors and debtors regarding security and priorities matters, and often acts for receivers and trustees in bankruptcy.
Garth has experience in a range of construction related legal matters, including tendering, construction liens and related enforcement litigation. His construction clients include developers, contractors, property owners and institutions.
